Dear Friend, Community. Responsibility. Self-sufficient yet reliant upon one another. Developing an understanding that, together, we are greater than the sum of our parts. These are the life lessons that come to mind when I think about a summer in the wilderness with a section of peers each bringing their own life experiences to the journey. Traveling together, we are reliant upon ourselves and upon one another to make the journey worthwhile and successful. At a time where we have been so virtually connected yet physically disconnected from the world and people around us, I think about the importance of these lessons I learned on trip. I am convinced, more than ever, of the value and benefit of time spent together in the wilderness, working toward a common goal. I am honored to join in the work of Red Canoe Foundation to ensure these experiences are available to more young people. If you haven't already picked up a paddle, will you join the journey with us?
