Dear Friend, We are SO close to reaching our annual fundraising goal - less than $5000 to go by June 30!If you have already made a contribution, thank you for your generous support. If you haven’t yet given, the time is now! Camp Wabun Staff are beginning to assemble on Garden Island, Lake Temagami, with Wabun campers to follow on June 26. Let’s work together in a virtual “Bowman’s Race;” with your help, we can reach our $125,000 goal by the time campers arrive! Here are a few exciting facts about this year’s Paddling Together annual appeal: - As of June 16, we have raised $120,877, so we are only $4,123 shy of reaching our goal of $125,000.
- 166 households have made a donation since July 1, 2021.
- Fifty donors are first-time supporters. Welcome!
- In addition to the $3,000 grant to Chicago Voyagers, RCF has pledged to support 17 campers at Wabun with partial or full scholarships this summer for a total of $88,390. This is a significant increase from 2019 which was the last summer Wabun operated. That year, we supported 4 CV campers with a $3,000 grant and 6 Wabun campers for a total of $18,575.
